DCP Alum Rock Middle School Visual Arts

       DCP Alum Rock Middle School Visual Arts Program includes a variety of art classes, ranging in mediums, for students to enhance their creativity. Mediums which include both two and three-dimensional design. For instance, drawing, painting, and clay hand-building, to name a few. Students become more familiar with Elements of Art and Principles of Design, through a hands-on art curriculum influenced by a variety of multicultural art, which implements self-growth and mindfulness.

       In addition, students become acquaint with a broad range of art history in relation to specific art periods, styles, mediums, and techniques. Students are encouraged to use their knowledge of the visual arts as a tool to further communicate a message of importance to our community. Students have the option of being part of an existing art club, which gives them additional time to work on their art class projects, as well as elaborate on their own personal artistic endeavors.
